Attention tracker

Description

Attention tracker is behavior management device which helps children focus on their assignments and finish it. It is ideal for children with attention and concentration problems and children with ADHD as it helps them to work independently.

The teacher controls the device through a remote control and he can control up to four devices using the same control. The device displays points (counter mode) or available time (timer mode) and the teacher can add/remove points and time without interrupting the student. The device has two modes and it displays points or remaining time accordingly.

Counter mode:

The display shows the student’s points. The teacher sets the total time needed to complete an assignment (5, 10 or 20 minutes), reward rate (every 10, 30 or 60 seconds) and reward (points) to add or remove every time (5, 10, 20). Once the START button is pressed, the yellow LED will be lit and points will be added or removed according to the settings set by the teacher. The remote control can be used to add, or subtract points at any time. If points are added the green LED will flash twice and if points are removed the red LED will flash twice. When the Task Time has ended, the yellow LED will switch off and the Red LED will switch on. The display will continue to count up and respond to the remote control until STOP is pressed.

Timer mode:

The display shows the remaining time for the task. The teacher sets the total time needed (5, 10 or 20 minutes) and how many seconds will be added or subtracted every time (5, 10, 20). Once the START button is pressed the green Led will switch on and the display will start the countdown. After half of the Task Time has elapsed the green LED will switch off and the yellow LED will switch on. When the task time has expired, the yellow LED will switch off and the red LED will switch on. The display will show 00:00 and the count-down will cease. The teacher can add or subtract seconds using the remote control.

Instructions for use

1.       Set the ON/OFF POWER to ON.

2.       If you are using multiple devices at the same time, give each one a unique letter through the ABCD switch.

3.       Decide which mode you are going to use and make the appropriate changes:

4.       For the Counter Mode set the Counter/Timer switch to Counter.

·    Select number of points to add/subtract every time using the Reward switch.

·    Select the total task time using the Task time switch.

·    Select the rate for the counter (how often a point is added) using the Rate switch.

5.       For the Timer Mode set the Counter/Timer switch to Timer.

·    Select number of seconds to add/subtract every time using the Reward switch.

·    Select the total task time using the Task time switch.

6.       You can press the LOCK button to prevent changing any of the settings.

7.       Press the START button.

8.       To manually add or subtract points (Counter mode) or seconds (Timer mode), select the device unique letter on the remote control and then press the appropriate buttons (- or +).
