Talking Pen

Description

The Talking Pen is a revolutionary device which can record multiple messages and it looks like a standard pen. It has integrated memory of 4 GB and it can store unlimited voice messages of approximately 250 hours total duration. This pen can transform any object to a talking object. All you have to do is stick a sticker code anywhere you like and record a message using the Talking Pen. Each time you place the Talking Pen over that sticker code the pen will start “reading” the pre-recorded voice message.

The Talking Pen has extra educational resources, such as special books, fairy tales, dictionaries, flashcards and posters which don’t require sticker codes. They have ready sounds, which you can download for free on your pen through a computer. Those sounds include fairy tales, exploring of each resource and games-questions which provide instant feedback about your answers.

The Talking Pen includes two modes, "Print Mode" and "Recording Mode". To move from one mode to the other just press the Mode button. “Print Mode” is used with the aforementioned educational resources and “Recording Mode” is used with the sticker codes for recording your own sounds.

If you are going to use “Print Mode” with your extra educational resources you first need to transfer each educational resource’s sounds to the pen’s memory. You can do this for free with the FREE LINK software, which is included on the pen’s memory.

Instructions for use

To record and playback a message using a sticker code

1. Hold down the Power button until the LED light turns blue. You’ll hear a welcome message.

2. Hold down the Mode button (M) until your pen says “Recording Mode”. The LED light will turn red.

3. Hold down the microphone button (RECORD) and place your pen on a sticker code (don’t release the microphone button yet). When you hear a beep or the LED light turns purple release the button.

4. Start talking in your pen’s microphone (you can move the pen away from the sticker code).

5. Press the microphone button (RECORD) when you finish your message.

6. Place the pen on the same sticker code you used to record. The pen will “read” the message” (if it doesn’t make sure you are on the Recording Mode).

7. To increase/decrease the volume press the Power button multiple times.

To record and playback a message on the extra educational resources (books, flashcards, posters)

1. After buying the desired educational resource, you’ll have to download its sounds to your pen using a computer and the FREELINK software, which is included in your pen’s memory.

2. Hold down the Power button until the LED light turns blue. You’ll hear a welcome message.

· To record, press and hold the Mode button (M) until your pen says “Recording Mode”. The LED light will turn red. Place your pen on the Record button located on your resource and start talking. Place your pen on the Stop button located on your resource to stop recording and then place your pen to the Play button located on your resource to listen to your recording.

· To listen to the pre-stored sounds of your resource, place your pen on the welcome arrow located in the first page of your book/card. The pen will welcome you to the resource. Then, just place your pen on the hotspots and the pen will start “reading”.
