Optima rollerball

Description

An alternative big ball mouse aiming to be used by people with motor control difficulties. It connects to the computer through a USB port and it is very large and design to respond to the lightest movement, which makes it easier to use. It also has three small buttons for left click, right click and drag lock*, 2 switch jacks for left and right click and large empty area under the buttons to use as a hand rest.

* Drag lock function is the function we perform with a regular mouse when dragging the mouse while holding the left mouse button (to select multiple files).

Instructions for use

To install the device

1.       If you are using switches instead of the adapted buttons, connect them in the appropriate ports.

2.       Connect the device to your computer through a USB port.

3.       Wait for the device’s drivers to automatically install. You’ll get a message that your device is ready to use.

To operate the device

1.       For right click press the right button or the right switch.

2.       For left click press the left button or the left switch.

3.       For drag lock press the middle button and just move the ball to select files. Press the middle button again to deactivate drag lock. The files will remain selected.
