Greek Alphabet (robot mat)

Description

This is a special mat, for the robots Bee-bot, Constructa-bot and Blue-bot to move on. Students can program their robot according to the teacher’s instructions, to follow specific routes on the mats.

For example, the teacher could ask the students to plan a simple program for the robot (ex. make your robot go from A to E) or more difficult ones by using restrictions (ex. make your robot go from A to E but don’t use the FORWARD button, or by passing by C, or using only 3 commands etc.).

The English Alphabet mat can be used to teach the alphabet to young children with various activities:

·         Program the robot to go to the letter Λ.

·         Program the robot to go to the letter Λ, but also passing by the letters Γ and Ζ.

·         Program the robot to go to the letter L, without passing by the letter K.

·         Program the robot to stop to all the consonants.

·         Program the robot to spell your name.

·         Program the robot to go to the first/last letter of the word …. (give the students a picture, tell them the word, write down the word etc.).
