Memory Games Junior

Description

Memory Games is software that aims to train and improve the working memory of students with concentration difficulties, poor working memory, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dyspraxia or other learning difficulties.

The software includes nine different exercises. The difficulty level of the exercises adjusts automatically following the student’s performance, so that the demand on the student’s working memory constantly increases.

The software comes with a Work Book which can be used by the student and trainer during training. It gives advice about setting up the training and includes a training calendar and motivational ideas. It can be accessed using a mouse, one or two switches and it provides scanning options, extra cursor, reward system and results for each student.

The games are:

·    Cans: The cans light up in a particular order. Click on the cans in the same order as they light up.

·    Treasure Chest: A series of numbers will be spoken. Click on the numbers in the same order. After a while the numbers must be selected in reverse order. (This only applies to Level 1.)

·    The Ferris Wheel: As the Ferris Wheel spins the cars light up in a particular order. Try to remember the order and click on them in the same order.

·    The Circle: When a lamp flashes you will hear an animal sound. Try to remember the order in which you hear the different animals. Click on the lamp that played the sound belonging to the animal shown in the centre.

·    The Pond: The fish blow bubbles in a particular order. Click on the fish in the same order.

·    Paint: A series of colours will be read aloud, for example, “blue, green, yellow”. Click on the colours in the same order as you hear them. If you remember the order correctly a painting will gradually appear.

·    The Ghost House: A series of numbers will be spoken. Remember the order then click on them in reverse order. That is, if it says 2,5,9 you must click 9,5,2.

·    Space: The flying saucers will light up in a particular order. Click on them in the same order.

·    Zoo: The animals will move and make a sound in a specific order. Click on them in the same order.
