Mind Express 4 is an Alternative and Augmentative Communication software, which speaks on behalf of people with nonverbal communication. It includes its own voice messages, symbols and images, but the user can also insert his own images/pictures or his own text so MindExpress can read it using a male or female synthetic voice. It also includes a predictive dictionary.
It is fully customizable according to the user’s needs. We create a communication program for each user where we include all the messages he might need in some main categories. Categories can include greetings, questions and answers, user’s personal data, school/word related phrases and much more. The user just clicks on a category header to navigate to another page with all the messages he might need or to an on-screen keyboard to write down new messages. When he clicks on a letter, the software automatically suggests words beginning with that letter to make typing easier.
Each page has its own grid with cells and we can have unlimited pages. Each page includes messages, navigation buttons, command buttons for launching other software, on-screen keyboard or internet browsing and much more. Each cell can includes written text, audio text (reading the cell’s contents, audio file or recording) and image. The grid for each page is fully customizable and the message number unlimited.
The user can select the program’s cells with various ways:
